My recent visit to the opthalmologist suggested my need to wear prescription glasses.  As a teenager, I had to wear eyeglasses and, like most teeners, there was a lot of resistance on my part to avoid looking like a total dork, being branded a ‚geek‘ and becoming a member of the nerd herd.  But, hey, this fear and resistance for everything geeky is but a thing of the past.

Enter the Geek Chic Era: where the evolution of technology made everything futuristic, bookish and nerdy actually kinda cool.   And with style icons like Alexa Chung, Iris Apfel and Jenna Lyons embracing their inner dork and models strutting the geek-chic vibe on Moschino and Luella runways, we now find excitement (heck, even eagerness!) to put on a pair of specs.
